who's all going and where you staying?

starting to look at arranging the usual convoy fo rthis year, however, there is track action on the saturday this time so.

either we could leave v early and get down in time to see this, or just do the usual and turn up there around 4-5pm?

i'd like to see some track stuff myself, im stayin at the rugby travel inn on the saturday and sunday nights...

at the moment all being well with the exams im staying saturday and sunday night. but wont have a french car. still an fcs virgin so will go with the flow...

At the moment planning on heading down on the Friday, so can have a few drinks on the Friday night and watch the track action on Saturday. Can't drink (much) on the Saturday night due to being on track first thing myself on the Sunday. Then probably stay the Sunday night and drive up on Monday.

Not 100% on driving down on Friday, but almost definately staying in a hotel the Sunday night. Driving back up after the show last year was horrible - far too tired and way to far.

We`re staying in travel inn sat & sun nights,prob spend Monday @ Blackpool pleasure beach & drive back Mon night.

Keith as far as i know is taking a trailor so we were thinking around 2-3am leaving on Sat Morning :lol:

indeed col, more than likely leaving at 3-4am on saturday, lesurely drive down with no traffic, i'll be taking the using the 306 to take the 205 on trailer, as i have track time on saturday.

anyone else fancy that? to watch the track or get a passenger ride from ME :D

Here are the details of last years saturday convoy.


Convoy 1
7:30am - Halbeath McDonalds
8:30am - Edinburgh Gyle
9:30am - Abington Service station

Convoy 2
8:30am - Strathclyde Park
9:30am - Abington Service station


There will be 2 or 3 scheduled petrol/catch up stops along the way to be confirmed.(especially for me:( )

WTF! Has everyone gone mad? 7.30am! I'm booked in fri,sat,sun as per last year. Friday was class last year and the weather was beautiful got totally arseholed with some shifty lot from Aberdeen and watched the opening night of Big Brother lol. Friday all the way. Beware the speed cameras this year!

a road angel detects has camera locations stored in the gps database. it has been said that certain remote garage door openers can have a say in the accuracy of plods equipment in the vans. these people should head up the convoy.

Got my Sr6neo. We`re fooked with the video vans , no radar or laser.

Thats what got Dave & I last year in Dumfries.

Picked up the laser scatter of the van we passed in Cumbria though.

Im like hardcore lite dont think i could hack it. If anyones interested I'll probs be boosting down bout 11 - 12 just a chilled little drive down a few stops and into the travel inn for bout 6ish - a spot of dinner then down to the supermarket for some bevvy supplies. A little drinkipoos in the bar then catching the start of the new series of big brother ( leave it ) and then out to the beer garden for a some drinks and banter. God willing should pass out sometime between 2 and 3.

The ******* van got me on the 74 doing 96 on the way to trax. Theres one stots about the M6 in Cumbria too. You called always try Martybhoys drive so fast it wont pick be able to photo you technique*
